Salvation For Children Who Die
Some Protestant religions teach that if little children die before they have a chance to be baptized or accept Jesus they will be condemned to Hell. Catholics used to teach that children who died prior to baptism went to limbo, until Pope Benedict XVI removed this belief.
Through modern day revelation, we now have a better understanding of the fate of children who die. The Lord revealed that "little children are holy, being sanctified through the atonement of Jesus Christ." The Atonement and Grace of Christ is sufficient to save children who die before the age of accountability. When tragedy strikes and a child dies, that child returns directly to the presence of their Heavenly Father.
Here are two verses in which Christ teaches the attitude of God the Father towards little children.
Matthew 18:10, 14
"Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish."
Verse 10 explains that each child has their own angel in God's presence representing them. Christ also commands that no one should despise or speak evil of children, and I would assume that saying a child is going to Hell is about as evil speaking as you can get.
Verse 11 teaches that it is not God's Will to let little children perish. Unfortunately, since children do perish in this world, Jesus must mean that they won't perish in the next world.
Matthew 19:14
"But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."
Jesus was constantly asking for the children to come unto Him, and would admonish His disciples to be as children, faithful, innocent, and obedient. Why would he require us to emulate something twisted and corrupt? Like He said, children are the kingdom of heaven.
*As A Side Note*
Not only does the LDS Church teach that children are automatically saved in God's kingdom because of Christ's atonement, they also teach that children who die will be raised by their parents in the millenium. They also teach that children can be sealed to their parents and be part of their family forever.
