The Telestial Room

Salt Lake Temple Telestial Room
The Telestial Room, also called the World Room, represents the post-fall world we live in now. The murals show fallen trees and animals fighting.

In this room patrons learn about redemption, faith, resisting temptation, and living as Christ would have us live.

The Telestial Room gets its name from the Telestial Kingdom. The lowest of the three degrees of glory, or glory of the stars. After the resurrection, those people who didn't accept the atonement, and lived sinful lives, will receive this lesser glory.

"And again, we saw the glory of the telestial, which glory is that of the lesser, even as the glory of the stars differs from that of the glory of the moon in the firmament. These are they who received not the gospel of Christ, neither the testimony of Jesus. These are they who deny not the Holy Spirit. These are they who are thrust down to hell. These are they who shall not be redeemed from the devil until the last resurrection, until the Lord, even Christ the Lamb, shall have finished his work."
-- Doctrine and Covenants 76:81-85.
